So, you are considering being a Civil
War Re-enactor. This is a great way to learn our great countries history and have a great time doing so, but this is not a
cheap endevor. Uniform packages can start around two hundred dollars, then you have to consider a weapon, tent, eating utensils...
the list can go on and on.

There are a few sutlers we have delt with in the past that are a great place to start.
Several sutlers offer a reenactors starter uniform package. PLEASE DO NOT order a uniform with a "cavalry trim",
we have found that this is not even close to authentic and it does not fit in. A plain shell jacket will be just fine to start
with. Pegged brogans are also an inexpensive way to start, it is not nessacary to have Cavalry boots starting out.

Once you receive your uniform you will want to check all of the buttons to
make sure they ae attached properly, little can be more aggravating than a button popping off during an event.
